Refund Policy

Effective October 14, 2026

Vendors pay SoftwareHome in advance for visibility in the directory, and those payments are final. Below are the only three cases in which we send money back, how to ask, and what cancelling does. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

1. What the fee buys

Everything we sell is a subscription for a period of time: a paid listing from the submission page, a claimed and upgraded vendor profile, or a placement such as the weekly Boost, the monthly Advanced slot or the yearly All In package. The fee pays for your product being shown, linked and reported on for that period. It is not a fee per click, per visitor, per review or per lead.

Your listing, profile or placement goes live once the payment clears and stays live for the whole period. When you pay, you ask us to start right away, and you accept that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period ends once the service has begun.

2. Cases we do not refund

  • The listing or placement brought fewer clicks, sign-ups, trials or sales than you hoped. Traffic depends on your product, your category and what buyers are searching for.
  • Users left critical reviews or low ratings. Reviews belong to the people who write them and are not removed because a vendor pays.
  • Search engines indexed your profile slowly, or a link did not change your rankings or domain metrics.
  • You changed your launch plans, renamed or retired the product, or no longer want to be listed.
  • You did not update the profile, upload screenshots or answer reviews during a paid period.
  • You chose the wrong package, for example All In when Advanced would have done, or a yearly term instead of a monthly one.
  • A renewal went through because nobody cancelled in time, including one collected after a declined attempt.
  • You assumed a subscription was a one-off fee. Every order page, receipt and account screen states that it renews.
  • A feature you expected is not described on the order page.
  • A colleague or contractor with access to your account placed the order.

3. The only exceptions

A charge is returned when one of these is true and our records confirm it.

  • Duplicate payment. Our billing charged you twice for the same period of the same listing, profile or placement.
  • Unauthorised payment. Someone used your card without permission, you report it within 14 days of the charge, and the evidence held by us and by our payment operator confirms it. We may ask you to confirm that you have told your card issuer as well.
  • Nothing delivered. Because of a confirmed fault on our side, your paid listing, profile or placement was not shown at all for a continuous stretch, you reported it while it was happening, and we could not put it right. Temporary slowness or a display issue on your own device is not a failure to deliver.

A refund never exceeds the amount you paid for the affected period, is sent only to the card that paid, and closes the matter in full. One refund creates no right to another.

4. How to claim

Send an e-mail to [email protected] from the address on your vendor account within 14 days of the charge, quoting the order reference from your receipt and the exception that applies. Claims made later, or from an address we cannot link to the account, are not considered. We work through claims in the order they arrive and do not reopen declined ones.

5. Cancelling and renewals

You can cancel a subscription yourself at any time from your account, without contacting us. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your listing, profile or placement keeps running until the end of the period you already paid for, and the unused part of that period is not credited back.

A renewal opens a new period, and the fee for it is due on its first day. If the card is declined, the fee is still owed and we try again. Cancelling once a period has started switches off the periods after it, not the current one.

6. Records and chargebacks

For every order we keep the time of purchase, the package and price shown on the order page, your acceptance of the Terms, the receipt we sent, renewal notices and an account activity log covering sign-ins, profile edits and listing changes. Our payment operator keeps its own record of each charge, including the card's country of issue and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. Claims are judged against these records.

Please talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback opened without contacting us breaches our Terms of Service. We send the records above to the card issuer, remove the paid placement and close the vendor account permanently.

7. Earlier orders

Orders paid before October 14, 2026 remain under the terms that applied when they were placed.
